What Kim Marsh doesn't like about One Flew South:
This restaurant offers sushi at high-end prices, but the quality doesn't match. The dragon roll is simply a basic eel roll, so I don't understand why it's listed in the "art of sushi" section. I can find something similar at any low-cost sushi spot back home for about $8, and it tastes just as good. The hand roll had an interesting shape but was nothing special considering the cost. It's possible to find great, affor... View all feedback.
This place exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the food and drink options. We had the old fashion, two types of Sake and I had the Tempranillo wine all great. We ate the kamikaze and dragon rolls, the Poke Tacos and the BLT. The service John gave us and, I think, the manager Aaron, the seat owner was excellent. A great experience. I recommend this stop if you have time to kill.
Rated as one of the top in-airport restaurants in the country, One Flew South is deserving of the praise. From the time you step through the door everything about the experience is what is expected from a high class establishment. The staff are professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. The service is prompt, but never makes you feel rushed. Beverage selection is broad and caters to a more discerning palate, and the quality of the food rivals any top rated restaurant. Outstanding pick for business travelers, or anyone looking to avoid the fast food and low quality stalls that plague most airports.
You have a small window of time each day to enjoy this gem. Some of the regulars schedule their flights around it’s operating hours. Great food and awesome people.
Wonderful restaurant in Concourse E. I sat at the bar and the two ladies were so attentive and friendly. I ordered the One Flew South BLT which was not your regular BLT. Instead of strips of bacon, it's jam with large pieces of bacon in it. It's rich, creamy, and decadent. Eating one half was plenty for me. The fries were crispy and delicious!
Every time I go through Atlanta if my layover is longer than an hour I will find my way to One Flew South. The first time I went here was probably five years ago, and I've been to every restaurant in this airport and will say this is my favorite. It's one of the few airport restaurants that actually competes in quality to a normal restaurant. It's not just the best in a bad situation it actually is good! I sadly haven't written a review since now, but my server was wonderful. I sadly don't remember his name, but I've never had a server at One Flew South. They have a fantastic little sushi bar and a continuously changing standard menu. Over my many trips I've had different things but this time I had some delicious deviled eggs, definitely well worth it. The restaurant also has well as a great selection of wines. I had a fantastic bottle of Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon. My house red, and one of my favorite wines.
