Unfortunately, we were unable to dine at this restaurant. Despite making a reservation three weeks in advance for a show, receiving a reminder from OpenTable, and arriving at the restaurant, we found a sign on the door stating that it was closed for dinner. Unable to make a new reservation elsewhere due to my existing OpenTable reservation, which I couldn't cancel online, I was left without a reservation or dinner before the show. I was disappointed with the lack of communication and will not be giving this restaurant another chance.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic! It was my first time trying Mediterranean cuisine and I was thoroughly impressed. Despite being there on a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was completely empty. There was only one server who attended to us throughout the night, but he kept disappearing which was a bit frustrating. When we asked for salt, he brought us a dirty container that was too filthy to use. Although the food took a while to come out, it was worth the wait as it was incredibly delicious. I may give this place another chance on a different night because of the quality of the food.
It's a shame to see characters leave one star reviews at a restaurant like this. I've ate several different selections on the brunch and dinner menu. And I must say, I have yet to order a dish that I dislike. The presentation of each dish is always superb. The garnishments and seasonings are always above expectations. Yes, I have experienced slower paced service. However I must admit the food will make up for it every time! If you haven't tried this spot, you need to. Great addition to midtown!
The hummus appetizer is super good, creamy hummus with really good pita. Only wish there were a few more pita slices on the plate. The Midtown Burger is really quite good. The servers are nice, and its a cozy atmosphere. Would eat here again for sure.
