Feedback
Basil restaurant in Atlanta offers a diverse menu and beautiful outdoor space, making it a favorite for many. A relaxing atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food keep customers coming back. The three-course Valentine's Day menu received mixed reviews, with some experiencing long wait times and poor service. However, on other occasions, diners enjoyed perfectly cooked meals bursting with flavor. Overall, Basil offers a pleasant dining experience, especially when visited on a regular day. Reservations are recommended for busy holidays.
This place is a jewel! always eat good if not great. their fish and seafood dishes are always inspired. I love the Greek salate.
Was there for NYE and it was wonderful. Had a large party which can sometimes be a pain but it was very easy and the food was delicious .
My wife and i went there deliberately early 5:30pm sitting so it was understandably empty with no ambience...nice menu...excellent service from Mary ? ....my wife's food was apparently perfect oysters followed by scallops however my food was disappointing...I ordered the veal bone-in chop...firstly it was very chewy and hard to cut even with a steak knife, but then it was smothered in an overpowering gravy which completely masked the flavor of the veal...very salty and something I'd expect at a cheap diner...a shame because it will be my lasting memory and will dissuade me from going back there.
Nice converted house to restaurant set-up. I describe it as fine to casual dining because on the far inside the tables and atmosphere resemble fine dining, then there's a middle area that's covered but patio-iish which still has the fabric tablecloths and napkins, then there's the gorgeous patio which is very casual. The food was good (we ordered the trio dips, toastedravioli, lamb ribs, and Mediterranean chicken). The wine bottles are half off on Mondays and Wednesdays. I believe it's familyowned so service is a tad slow but good. Only saw two workers and our server was also the host, bartender, and helped run food.
I'm trying not to be so generous with my 5 star ratings...but my experience here today absolutely deserves it. Service, ambiance and selection of food were outstanding. 2 words... Jalapeño Grits!! I'm from the south and these just may be the tastiest gritsI've ever had. The art that decorated the wall mesmerized me. Definitely the made the best decision choosing this place forbrunch and interested in coming back for a dinner experience.
