What is in short supply is a location whe... read more I'm always on the lookout for midtown restaurants near the Woodruff Arts Center, and there are no shortage of options. What is in short supply is a location where it's possible to carry on relaxed conversation in almost a serene environment. Article 14 fit the bill. The food was great, the service excellent, and I would definitely go back that is, if I could. Unfortunately, my first dining opportunity at Article 14 will also be my last because the restaurant shut down operations at that location on Feb 27, 2016. That's sad because the restaurant had a unique ambiance in a cool location.

The restaurant offers valet parking or self parking in a deck that Article14 validates for several hours. We only had to pay $4 at the end of the night, and we were able to leave quickly since we didn't park in the ASO parking deck. The food was good, not the best in Atlanta, but a solid choice. Our waitress was friendly and went the extra mile by splitting our salad for us in the kitchen instead of having us share a plate. It's the small gestures like these that make a difference. They also have a great selection of whiskey and bourbon.

We didn't realize that brunch ended at 3:00 and were running late, but a hostess called to remind me and ensure that we knew the kitchen was closing soon. I was touched by their attention to detail. When we arrived, there were only two large private parties and us as diners, but the staff were attentive and accommodating to everyone. They didn't seem overwhelmed, even though we walked in at 2:45. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was served piping hot. It seemed like the cooks were focused solely on preparing meals for my mother and me, which ensured prompt service and fresh food. Our waitress, bartender, and hostess were all very friendly and provided great service. It seems like they only hire the nicest people at Article 14, which as a customer, I greatly appreciate.

While visiting Atlanta, I found the menu appealing and the location convenient for me to get to. The restaurant is easily accessible and offers free parking. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food with southern flavors. The dishes were flavorful, the mimosas were tasty, and the overall atmosphere was cozy, despite a nearby birthday or bachelorette party. I highly recommend Article 14 as a must-visit spot when in Atlanta.

The place was quiet and the m... read more The evening we dined there was as the news was unfolding in Paris in regards to the terroristic acts in various parts of the city. The place was quiet and the mood was appropriate to the stories that were being revealed. The service was excellent. The food was fantastic. This was such a welcomed evening as the background story played out around us. Very well done.
