All of the ingredient... read more I went here for lunch about 2 weeks ago and I must say I was impressed. I had the ham and cheese toastie and I found it to be really nice. All of the ingredients were natural and non-processed, and the bread was of exceptional quality. My only problem with it was that the ham was quite thick (which can be nice) but I just prefer thinner-cut ham in my toasties. The place itself is quite small, however it wasn’t too busy on that particular afternoon. I chugged the hot chocolate in record speed, narrowly beating Badlands Chugz by 0.132578 milliseconds. I also tried the kombucha which tasted like rosé if that’s up your alley. In all seriousness this place is fantastic for vegans, vegetarians, coeliacs, etc and is a really good place to go to get a healthy and fulfilling meal. 10/10 recommend.

However, I recently went for brunch and was not too impressed. The price did not seem to reflect the value, as I was charged extra for jam on my toast. The toast itself was quite hard and difficult to eat. However, my group enjoyed their meals, especially the well-made scrambled eggs. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. Despite the minor issues, I will likely return and would recommend trying something other than just toast.

I asked for a small amount of cheese to be added, and was given the option to have it mixed in with the eggs, which I agreed to. However, when my dish arrived, either they forgot to add the cheese or the portion was so minuscule that I couldn't even see or taste it. The eggs were overly salty and the overall dish was just okay. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, I was initially charged €14 instead of the advertised €10 for the dish (an extra €4 for a tiny bit of cheese???). After expressing my surprise, the price was then reduced to €13. This felt like a rip-off to me. I have had much more satisfying and affordable lunches at other cafes in Rathgar and Rathmines. I will not be returning to this restaurant. The menu selection is lacking and the quality of the food, while decent, does not justify the high prices.

Unfortunately, I had an upset stomach in the afternoon. Overall, I felt the meal was overpriced.
