I have to say, this used to be one of my favorites, but ever since the executive chef left things haven’t been the same : I can still get down with brunch here, but I’ll pass on dinner from here on out. View all feedback.
It’s a lovely cozy spot with a friendly staff. However, the cheesecake was not fresh and didn’t taste good, so we decided to return it.
I had passed by this restaurant several times without ever considering going in, but I finally decided to give it a try yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was excellent. We started with the baked feta and mussels, both of which were delicious. For our main courses, we each chose different dishes, and they were all impressive. The short ribs were so tender that you didn't even need a knife to cut them. The salmon was delectable, perfectly cooked, and accompanied by sweet potato cream. And last but not least, the burger was incredibly juicy, topped with Swiss cheese and onions. This place was such a delightful find that it might even become a regular spot for me. The drinks were also incredibly tasty. Should I mention that we indulged in dessert as well? It was scrumptious! My compliments to the chef. Our server, Vicky, was 100% sweet, funny, and had a wonderful attitude. I can't say enough good things about this place – it was clean, and the service was top-notch.
Recently, they introduced short ribs, which were fantastic at first, but during my last three orders, they were mostly just big chunks of fat with hardly any meat. This suggests they’re not preparing the meat properly. Additionally, tonight they served the creamy polenta on a separate dish, which upset me because I prefer it with the main dish. It also tasted terrible, like it had been overheated and watered down. Why is there such inconsistency? Please improve your kitchen operations—I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year and I don’t want to stop coming because of these issues. Unfortunately, I know several people who have already stopped visiting for the same reasons. Overall, it’s a great place, but it definitely needs some improvements.
Came here for brunch and the food and service was very good!
I decided to visit this restaurant because my partner had been there before and recommended it, and I have no complaints at all. The menu is fairly simple, but everything is consistently good and you can tell that the dishes are prepared with care. The salmon benedict was delicious. I also enjoyed the hot toddy, which is made with aged rum and apple cider—definitely a seasonal treat. The ambiance is very charming as well. I would definitely return.
