What Mitch doesn't like about Maru:
We were brought to this restaurant by reviews in Open Table and Yelp. We were hopeful that the prices would be BETTER than the other sushi restaurant in Aspen ... and we were VERY happy. Nothing is cheap in Aspen and their sushi was not inexpensive ... BUT ... it was definitely less expensive than that other sushi restaurant AND EVERY BIT AS GOOD. The food quality (Sashimi special preparations) and service were absolutely fantastic. Would definitely go back!
Fabulous menu, friendly and good service in a nice setting. The creativity of the chef(s) and the fresh (some unusual) fish makes for a delicious meal. Don't forget the hot menu items. This restaurant should not be missed while in Aspen.
MARU had great inventive sushi and cooked dishes. Kid friendly to the extent thatvhey have fried chicken—tonkatsu.
Great sushi, scallops and rolls! Above the expectations
