I highly recommend this place if you're a seafood lover! The oysters were outstanding! Our server brought us a dozen of the most popular ones, and they were all incredibly fresh and delicious. While some reviews mentioned that it can get really loud, we dined around 5:30 PM, and it was actually quite pleasant. View all feedback.
What Margret Welch dislikes about Clark's Oyster:
john dory was too salted and a little overcooked. I am not familiar with the fish, so maybe this was a lack of understanding. server recommended salsa verde, but I did not find that it was mixed well. coworker had the red snapper and felt that the tomato sauce was too much/overpowered. the muddles were delicious and the brot was excellent. service was good! music a little loud. We had a wonderful birthday dinner for our son-in-law. It was a delightful experience—the food was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent.
Have had many good experiences at you restaurant over the years. Quality has gone down. New chef? The red snapper severed over french fries? Really? And the red snapper sauce served under the fries? Disappointed. Iâm sorry.
Arrived early and were seated promptly. Excellent service. Nice menu with reasonable prices for Aspen. Halibut was top-notch as always. Tried the clams with linguine which had an unusually large amount of clams. Very nicely prepared. Young, energetic staff. Suggest you plan ahead and make reservations.
This is an excellent seafood restaurant in downtown Aspen. Although it doesn’t quite replicate the New England vibe, it certainly captures that charming atmosphere. The food was outstanding, and the place was bustling with customers. It’s definitely a must-visit while you’re in Aspen!
The lobster roll was fantastic, but I wasn't particularly fond of the French fries. The espresso martini, on the other hand, was perfect—definitely the best I've ever had. My husband and I both sampled the East Coast oysters, and they were by far the best oysters we've ever tasted.
