Great food,Soulful atmosphere, and fantastic service.Was treated to lunch here and I'm so glad I finally got to experience the hype.I loved that the menu had staple soul food choices that I grew up on.The portions were great and left enough to take home.The prices were typical for the type of food served.Black owned businesses.Please go see for yourself. What EEE LOVE doesn't like about Southern Soul Cafe:
Come on people, your open sign is on, its 11:20, place opens at 11:00. The young woman is inside cleaning tables, she sees us at the door but does not acknowledge us at all, even as my son knocks on the glass door. My son is special needs and diabetic so we left so he could go get food. Sadly disappointing. Maybe the cook wasnt there??? Who knows. All it would have taken was a little communication. Food was delicious!!! Big portions.. Come hungry.. Our server was on point and gracious. I recommend that when in Ashland, eat here!! You won't regret it
Is this restaurant still open for business? I've been trying to call them for several months and no one answers. The food was soooo good.
I did not go to Southern Cafe, I went to Roses Dept. Store in that shopping center.
Definitely not soul food. Pre cooked and microwaved.
Delicious sole food, friendly staff. We will deff be back when we're in the area!!
