Great deck on quite street. Excellent beer, local wines and cider selection and knowledgeable staff. Limited menu but food is good. Ruby's will deliver food to Gil's patrons.
Great neighborhood bar, tap house and restaurant. Lots of good beers on tap plus a great selection of cans and bottles in the fridge. Food is good for bar food, especially like the nachos. Always have free popcorn and dog friendly.
I had a wonderful experience dining outdoors! My food arrived quickly, and the beer was nice and cold—just what you need on a hot summer day. If you’re looking for a place to park your bike, there's a bike rack right next to Ruby's restaurant. A big thank you for the tamales and the poblano sandwich!
To start, the pretzel was fantastic! Our teenager ordered it, so we only managed to snag a few small bites, but wow, it was good. It came with a creamy, cheesy dipping sauce that was far superior to the usual options (though I'll admit my experience with cheese dips is limited). Next were the sliders, which our teen devoured with such enthusiasm that I’m not sure he even tasted them! They came alongside a small but appealing salad. I ordered the Brisket Bahn Mi on the recommendation of the woman at the front, and oh my goodness, it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! It was served with a dipping broth, like a French dip, and the crunchy roll was perfect for dunking. The spread on the sandwich, along with what I think were some pickled veggies (I was too excited to take a closer look), made for a superb combination, and the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. Clearly, these folks know their stuff. My husband ordered the Cubano, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I tried a bite, and it was great, but to be honest, I completely forgot about it while relishing my Bahn Mi, haha! I can at least confirm it was excellent. My daughter ordered nachos, requesting them without pico de gallo but received it anyway. Fortunately, it was piled on top, so she could easily remove it. These nachos were unique and tasty; they used a cheese sauce instead of melted cheese, giving them a gooey rather than crispy texture. They came topped with delicious guacamole, black beans, and shredded red cabbage, which I had never seen on nachos before but thought was a brilliant idea! Out of all the main dishes, these were the largest and most filling. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and hope to come back before we continue our trip (we're from out of town).
