Being on holiday in Sydney and being of Polish extraction, I decided to visit the restaurant in the Polish Club in Ashfield. I ordered favourite dishes (golabki) and friends ordered the potato pancakes and salmon and the beef goulash. All three dishes were beautifully presented and tasted fabulous. Good selection of Polish beers and vodkas and you can also get Aussie beer too. Great taste experience. I will come back for pierogi (dumplings) next time.
We saw a special deal on Groupon including beer but as we don't drink beer we went anyway as it sounded good. It was better than good, a genuine small community club with a small cosy bar and a small restaurant. The Hungarian goulash and cabbage rolls were right on the money but most Groupon customers were having the pork knuckle which looked fabulous.All the food looked good. We will be back. Prices are very reasonable and servings large.Polish dumplings a specialty.

We have tried EVERY pork knuckle around Sydney over a decade and let me tell you, this was by far the BEST pork knuckle we have ever had. The Perogies are just as good, silky and tasty with old fashion dishes that melts your heart. The Garlic Bread is a European take on Garlic Bread. A delicious deep fried bread smeared with a garlic paste and non greasy. A perfect accompaniment to any meal. Every entree and main we ordered outdid each other - all were winners in our eyes.
