Dinner for 2. easy to get to if staying at the Grove Park Inn. Bread service was excellent, the has pasta and enjoyed, I ordered a hamburger med-rare, came out med-well but they swiftly replaced it and gave us some credit on the bill. Interesting wines at good prices and some interesting dishes. check it out!
I was not able to enjoy my reservation. OpenTable allowed me to make a 9:00am reservation along with the company website saying they opened at 9am but they didn't open until 10am. So no breakfast/reservation for us!
Our meal was delicious-most had duck entree. Restaurant was loud and it was difficult to hear conversations around our table. Server was very good when we were able to track her down. Appeared to be shortage of staff.
We've eaten here several times, but the last two occasions have been sub par. Appetizer and burger were good, but the pasta too salty. Ordering red wine by the not inexpensive glass was a challenge the Tempranillo was much too cold, the Sangiovese was out and only a Pinot Noir was on offer. Our waitress did her best but seemed to covering over the cracks. Disappointing.
A really nice restaurant adjacent to, but not part of, the Grove Park hotel. It is a bit away from downtown. Parking is available. The food was excellent, and the service was great! I would say that the portions are more European in size. I would say it is a bit pricey which is why only 4 stars for value, but it is in a tourist location. Noise level can be a bit loud, but not obnoxiously so. A nice evening out.
