The sauce was great, but t... read more The food at 12 bones was very good. The only problem was that it didn 't compare favorably with my memory of the ribs from years ago. The sauce was great, but the ribs were dry and a bit chewey from having been slightly overcooked (in my opinion). I don 't travel to Asheville often, and today 's meal made 12 bones drop one notch in my unofficial rating scheme from the must go again ASAP to the solid choice for good eats category. My favorite side dish remains the jalapeño cheese grits. Yummmmm.
