Terrible customer service. It's unacceptable to expect a customer to pay for a poorly cooked steak that they can tell is freezer burnt after just one bite. I sent it back and requested something else, but it was a disappointing experience overall. I would not recommend dining here!
Hmmmmm it's probably prettier in the summer time but the drive is scenic. The rooms are basic but it's really the only place here other than the B&B. The restaurant is ok.
Food is terrible. A local referred me to this place for lunch. Unfortunately it was not just tasteless but horrible. I had a veggie pizza and left half of it behind. My partner had a tuna wrap and she said it was not edible. Too bad, wish people would just take the time and effort to taste what they are serving. Location by great River is nice.
The room was budget-friendly and quiet, with a lovely view of the river outside. Although the furniture was a bit outdated, everything was clean. I enjoyed my stay, even though there was no internet or TV.
I had called the night before I arrived to hold a room for a late check in (6:00PM) and was clear that I needed to have internet (needed to be able to download some information). Got there and had to wait as the front desk and the bartender are inter-changeable apparently. Not a huge deal, but the people in the bar seemed to think he leaving was a huge inconvenience for them. Once I got my key and got up to my room, I quickly realized I had no internet and no fridge. I headed back down to the front desk, though the first floor hallway which reeked of pot, and proceeded to let the girl know, who advised me that the internet was sketchy at best due to the location of the router (middle of the first floor hallway with no booster insight) and that she was unaware there was no fridge. So we tried another room, that unfortunately was a smoking room, but it was all there was and I was only staying one night, there was working fridge and the internet worked, but I soon realized that there was no power to the main lights or the side lamps. From here, we tried another room. This room was perfect and would have been great except for the fact that when I was returning to the front desk to return the other keys, she advised me that there was a partially filled in form for that room (IE there was someone staying in that room), but that it wasn 't on the books so she wasn 't sure if there was actually someone staying in there. To be fair, when we walked into the perfect room, the lights were on, which is not generally the case if the room isn 't being stayed in. After some discussion, we headed back up to the second floor to check another room and found that this room would finally work, only to notice that the key I had been given was stamped as a different room. We crossed the hallway to try the key in the room lock that it was stamped as, wouldn 't you know it....the key worked for the other room as well. She assured me that there was no other key for the room so it would be fine, and after all this, I really just wanted to unpack my stuff and get to where I needed to be so I took it at face value. The only reason this place is getting a second star from me is because of the front desk girl. She really did do her best with the situation that she was placed in and was even willing to upgrade me to a double room if necessary. The management here clearly needs to get their **** together because I won 't be staying here again and am making sure to spread the word on the complete s**tshow that is this hotel.
