I had 3 friends with me and they were also very imp... read more A unique and beautiful family style restaurant with one of the best cod and octapus entrees I have ever had. I had 3 friends with me and they were also very impressed. This was their first time with Portuguese cuisine. In addition the customer service in preparing 2 pizzas (which were great by the way) in a pinch a few minutes before closing and helping to find local transportation was above and beyond the call of duty. A wonderful experience here. Highly recommend it.

The waitress was very friendly and recommended the local wine, which was lovely. One Starter, 2 pizzas, bottle of wine, one dessert and coffee for €35 .. great value and tasty pizza. Enjoy.

My wife and I stayed overnight at a nearby hotel, so we had a choice to stop at a riverside expensive restaurant or stop next door at La Bamba. We choice them.... read more My wife and I stayed overnight at a nearby hotel, so we had a choice to stop at a riverside expensive restaurant or stop next door at La Bamba. We choice them. Don't expect a five star riverside place. It is a family owned, small restaurant just a minute walk up from the riverside. The people are nice, with limited English, but get along with the customer nicely. The food is prepared fresh and the place is a simple area with simple things and decor. There is a small outside area with tables and chairs on a hot day. Just what the tourist ordered, if you want to see the neighborhood people and feel the atmosphere. Enjoy.
