Portmore House - Armagh

We were quite disappointed with our meal. My husband's roast beef was extremely stringy and fatty, to the point that we took it home for our dog. They advertised it as sirloin, but it didn't resemble any sirloin I've ever encountered. The sprouts were overly tough, almost like little metal balls. I did enjoy my turkey and ham, but there wasn't much of it. This was a Sunday carvery, and it was one of the worst experiences we've had. We raised our concerns, but there was no attempt to rectify the situation or even offer an apology. We won't be returning. Very disappointing.

We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. It was peaceful when we arrived, but it quickly became busy. The service was attentive, and the food was outstanding.

I visit this place regularly, but I was disappointed by the rude staff from the moment I walked in until I left. They were unhelpful and unfriendly, which really affected my experience.

Went here last Saturday night with a big party, staff were so friendly and helpful especially sorting out our kid’s meals. We all ordered of the set menu and the quality of the food and size of portions was excellent. Steaks and desserts are unreal.

We go here regular as the service and food are both exceptional! Good portion sizes as well. We have been for family occasions and also as a couple and every time the food is very impressive as well as always having friendly staff who are very welcoming and can’t do enough for you! Would recommend this place to everyone who wants real good food with great service!
