We were doing the "Van Gogh" trail when we passed on the terrasse of this nice restaurant, we then noticed the "wow' looking vegetable plates and decided to res... read more We were doing the "Van Gogh" trail when we passed on the terrasse of this nice restaurant, we then noticed the "wow' looking vegetable plates and decided to reserve for the same evening. They told us it was better to reserve, and they were right because it was full. We took 2 vegetable tagines and 500 ml of rosé wine, 2 fresh mint teas and 2 oriental pastries, the total was 49 euros. The service was fast, we were served quickly by a beautiful waitress who looked like a super model! They greeted us with a complimentary lentil plate, with two spoons, no side plates, make sure you are with a very close person or expect to share more than you expected! We were happy to get this because our tagines had no proteins, no chickpeas. The taste was excellent and the portions big. We think we should have taken 1 tagine and 1 vegetarian couscous instead since the latter was even bigger with lots of chickpeas. The "oriental" pastries ( baklava) were big but to dry to our taste and the date pastry had a very hard crust. We stayed from 20:00 to 22:00 and about 10 min. before we left, probably as soon as the sun set, a night butterfly invasion started. There were so many that many clients decided to leave as well. The restaurant is very close to the water. We had never seen so many flying insects at the same time and there were thousands of them in the surrounding streets, they looked like white clouds on the grounds and you could not speak without swallowing one. So, maybe make sure to go not too late in the evening in August.
