Lite Bites - Argyll Bute
Lite Bites
Description
Nestled in the charming village of Tarbert, the Marine Bistro presents a curious dining experience. While some patrons appreciate the friendly service and flavorful dishes, others lament a lackluster menu riddled with missing items. Diners report poorly executed Indian cuisine, with undercooked meals and subpar ingredients dominating their meals. Complaints about outdated menus, inconsistency in service, and unprepared staff further cloud the restaurant's reputation. Despite the inviting ambiance and warm greetings from the owner, it’s clear that significant improvements are needed to elevate this establishment to reflect the charm of its picturesque surroundings.

Feedback
The scones were served on a paper bag without a plate or cutlery. It was disgusting and I am only giving it one star because I cannot submit my review without rating it.
I have never tasted such terrible Indian cuisine before. The chicken pakora starter was terrible, with the batter overpowering the small pieces of chicken. My main meal took so long to arrive that I had to use a plastic fork from the takeaway section. The French couple sitting next to me gave up waiting for their food after an hour. It was embarrassing. Do not eat here! It is terrible.
I visited this bistro on two occasions and both times the Indian cuisine was delicious. There were some issues with communication as one of the staff members seemed unfamiliar with English, but the owner was very welcoming. Most importantly, the food was excellent.
Such a cute little place . We went for take out ion a weekend and the place was empty . The front of house was so friendly abs engaging . The chef came out to say hello to us and took the time to explain what went into the food we had ordered . The veggie mix curry was served piping hot and super tasty perfect to eat with rice or nan. Service with a smile made our day
