Was Mole19 at Jura a mag?
We are six Canadian rugby mates who went on a three week whisky tour of Scotland. En route, one of us hit a milestone age, and we happened to be on the Isle of Jura on that day. We contacted them and they could not have been more accommodating. The food was excellent, the beer was just fine, and they took the time to make a sticky toffee pudding birthday cake, as that happens to be his favorite dessert. Can't thank t... View all feedback.
What clairewickham1954 dislikes about Jura:
They said: Our menu is largely seasonal and dependent on the elements, with Wild Jura venison, freshly caught lobster and langoustines, organic Jura vegetables and foraged fruit all featuring as seasons and conditions allow. We visited Jura Isle to explore the island on a self-driving tour, including a stop at Corran Sands. Our family originally emigrated from Jura Isle to the United States, departing from Corran Sands. The beach is stunning, perfect for collecting shells, wading in the water, and simply relaxing and reflecting.
The sign stating "residents only" and being told that the pub doesn't open until 3 was disappointing. Being the only pub on Jura, one would assume they would open for lunch. The opening hours displayed above were incorrect as it did not open at 11:00.
The restaurant offers a nice selection of food with a pleasant atmosphere, although the decor is a bit quirky. Due to time constraints, we only tried a couple of starters.

We thought: that sounds amazing. Expectations were high. What happened: pleasant and attentive staff and attractive dining room but such a disappointing meal. Lacked venison, lobster, langoustines Jura veg and foraged fruit. My crab fishcakes were tasteless and the filling was crab puree with no texture. My partner 's stuffed pasta tasted identical to the Co-op 's best effort. We asked if tomorrow 's menu might have venison or fresh fish... No . Oh dear!
