Contribute FeedbackThis cozy little bistro/cafe seems to have mixed reviews. While some customers were disappointed with the poor service, bland food, and high prices, others had a great experience and enjoyed dishes like the gluten-free scone and soup. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. Overall, it appears to be hit or miss, so it may be worth a visit to form your own opinion. Remember, every establishment has its off days, so don't always let a single bad review deter you from trying it out for yourself.
Customer service was good that is why a 2 was given. Coffee was poor, weak and cold. Food was disappointing. Cold baguette with huge chunks of cheese. Salad undressed with tasteless tomatoes . Crossaints were overcooked and so was the bacon. We explained to the waitress that our daughter was coeliac. Although they didnt cater for coeliacs or people with food allergies. We felt confident that we had choosen a safe GF meal. However our daughter was ill after this meal. So the cook must of cross containmiated the meals and some gluten was present.
Visited yesterday 15th July. We felt like 2nd class citizens as some locals came in after us and were served before us. We also noticed that locals received their tea in posh China cups and visitors received very plain white cups. It was apparent that locals were more valued than any others. Also expensive for what we had. We will not be visiting this cafe again.
Great lunch, I had a Sweat Chilli chicken Panini with salad, and a Latte.. both were really nice and worth the money, I also had a bit of Millionaire Shortbread afterwards, which was delicious. This is the 2nd time I've visited this cafe and it certainly wont be the last. The staff are always really friendly and the place is always kept clean.
Welcoming cafe. Bacon pancakes with Maple syrup perfect. Homemade scone OK. Staff not very good at properly wearing masks.
The experience at this restaurant was terrible. There were three of us, and we ordered three soups - two cauliflower and one broth. Unfortunately, none of them had any flavor and were watery. There was also no bread served with the soup. The two toasties we ordered were overcooked, and the flat whites were disappointing. Overall, the quality of the food was not good, and we were shocked at the high price of £34 for the meal. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
