Reviews praise The Terrace's views, burgers, vegan mains and friendly staff, but note occasional service lapses and inconsistent shellfish preparation; check opening times.
The coffee and green tea were superb along with scummy cake, unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy a meal. The place was very busy but the service was quick and efficient. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: £10–20
July 2024, open only for dinner, 6-9 pm. I was glad to be staying at West Highland Hotel, since one of the two nights I dined at its in-house The Terrace Restaurant was open only for hotel guests. I had two good vegan dinners at The Terrace (and there is also a vegan soup with sourdough bread): spicy bean burger and penne Arrabbiata (tomato sauce and black olives). Both were good, served with a colourful salad. The meal arrived promptly, and the young staff are efficient and pleasant. Alcoholic beverages available. Don’t miss the red receptacle for tips. Lovely views towards Skye and the Small Isles. There is outdoor seating as well. Book ahead. Vegetarian options: Two vegan mains plus the soup. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

Insider tip: locals and repeat visitors often ask for a specific window table that faces the harbour—timed just right, it frames the ferries and a sunset over the Small Isles. If that moment matters to you, request the window seat when booking and aim for the earlier dinner slot to catch daylight across the water.
