Contribute FeedbackA recent Christmas dinner reservation at this restaurant turned into a nightmare when a member of staff served a drink with particles in it and accused the customers of tampering. The owner's aggressive and abusive behavior escalated the situation, leading to a lack of customer service and an unsatisfactory managerial response. Despite positive aspects like delicious food and accommodating staff, the overall lack of professionalism and abusive treatment from the owner has left customers feeling disappointed and unwelcomed. The inconsistent service and confrontational interactions overshadow the tasty food and prevent a return visit from dissatisfied patrons.
Overall good food. Took a while for staff to attend. There was some sort of staff interview going on behind us, which i found very odd to be happening out in the open. Could hear near every word of the poor girls dressing down. Unprofessional.
We had booked an Christmas Dinner here this month for a large party, as the night went on a drink was brought to the table that had floaters through the drink, we asked for a new drink and the owner who was very aggressive shouting...and cursing said that we mixed it, which lead to an argument. Anyways long story short the abuse that was handed out by the owner was disgusting and when I phoned the next day to straighten out what happened I was told by the manager that I was lieing! After spending nearly in the place I will not be back and I to the owners thank you for the abusive conversation, all was needed was an apology but sadly no costumer service was provided. reading through the reviews I can see that costumer service is not the heart of this establishment. Will not be back. Here is a few pictures of the drink which was supposed be jagermeifter with is ice.
Went for food and a girls nite out. All I can say is thanks to Darren the manager from start to finish he couldn't do enough for us.
We've been to Le Winters on quite a few occasions now and we've always been very impressed on each visit. The staff always greet us warmly and make us feel so welcome. The menu has a great variety to choose from and is very reasonably...priced. Despite the wide selection, The Silverside is so delicious we usually choose this every single time. It's a very generous portion of beef with beautifully cooked veg and a massive Yorkshire pudding and being able to choose your own side means he will go for mash and I'll choose roast potatoes which we then divide between us. We're usually too stuffed to order dessert. On this week's visit , I decided to try something different and chose the Chicken Supreme which was absolutely beautiful and cooked to perfection. The food here is perfect but the welcoming staff really put the icing on the cake.
Booked table for family in the library for dinner on September to celebrate anniversary. Having visited this hotel/restaurant in the past pre covid and can honestly say have never had a meal or service that warranted any complaint. There are a lot of...restaurants in Newtownards and this one is hard to beat
