McCloskey's is a lively neighborhood pub known for its welcoming atmosphere and creative menu. Diners rave about the flavorful dishes, including standout options like meatloaf and General Tso's chicken sandwiches. While the service generally shines with friendly staff, some have reported inconsistent experiences, particularly at the bar. Bustling crowds can lead to slow service, and unwelcome incidents have marred the experience for a few. However, the restaurant's charm, reasonable prices, and community feel continue to attract patrons. Whether you're there for a casual meal or pre-concert drinks, McCloskey's remains a popular destination with room for improvement.

Was catherine Elizabeth Mason at Mccloskey's a mag?
Every time I visit McCloskey's, it always meets my expectations perfectly. The music is fantastic, whether you want to focus on it or simply enjoy it as background ambiance. It's an ideal spot to reconnect with old friends, and it also offers a cozy atmosphere for a casual date. The food is delicious, too. I've experienced some of my favorite local music performances in this inviting environment. View all feedback.
What craig armstrong dislikes about Mccloskey's:
This restaurant fails to provide any elements of a pleasant atmosphere. The bartender is consistently rude and dismissive whenever I've visited. The layout isn't ideal, and the other customers are seldom welcoming. If you're looking to meet new people or have genuine conversations, this is definitely not the place to go. View all feedback.

Would recommend eating in rather than take out. We order wings, thanksgiving sandwich and a sw burger for take out. We live right down the street and didn’t think it would be an issue for a quick pick up. The wings had a good flavor but were soggy, blue cheese was runny. I enjoyed the Thanksgiving sandwich, I expected it to be messy. It was. My partner however did not enjoy the burger, his bun was soggy and it wasn’t very flavorful or satisfying. If we decide to go back it’ll definitely be for eating in. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
Our favorite bar and restaurant in town. We go there almost every week. Phil and company run a terrific family business. Try their burgers...the best! We shared Nashville Hot Chicken Wings, little neck steamers in garlic broth and Grilled chicken with cheese and bacon. The wings were excellent and cooked perfectly. The garlic broth on the clams was really good and we took the bread off the Grilled chicken and it also was excellent. Great atmosphere and nice staff. We wish be back soon!
