This was my first time back since the restaurant opened 4 years ago. I was greeted warmly by the hostess when I entered and headed to the bar since my guest hadn’t arrived yet. I ordered a Manhattan and it was very good! After being seated our waitress explained the specials and took our orders. We got calamari and Brussels sprouts as appetizers , then had surf and turf and lamb chops as our entrees. The waiter was v... View all feedback.
What Thomas Reiche doesn't like about Depaul's Table Modern Italian Steakhouse:
Traditional steak house. Food is alright but not inspiring. Server and owner could both benefit from having a mindset of customer service. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.
The owner reacted defensively. To emphasize his point, he attempted to seat our party of three at a tiny booth meant for two. When I explained that it was inappropriate given the other available tables, he still refused to accommodate us. I explained that he could easily put us at a vacant table and move someone else to our old one, but it seemed he highly prioritized the incoming reservations over our comfort. He insisted he was fully booked, but as I pointed out, there were still vacant tables and a possibility to rearrange. Reservations don't assign specific tables from the moment they're made; when we checked in was when he made the seating decision. When I suggested he give us one of the unoccupied tables, he pointed at me and said, "I am the owner—don’t you dare tell me how to run my business." At that point, we chose to leave. I've never experienced such terrible treatment from an owner, and it's clear to me that this is not how you treat returning customers—or anyone else, for that matter.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience!
I haven't dined there yet, but I want to share my thoughts on their happy hour. It's fantastic! The atmosphere feels upscale, yet the happy hour makes it enjoyable and affordable. If their appetizers during happy hour are any indication of their meals, I'm excited to try the food. If you're searching for a good happy hour on the main line that isn't a pub, this is the spot for you.
There aren't enough stars on the review page to capture how amazing my dining experience at DePaul's Table was. Every detail of the evening was elevated to perfection. The ambiance reminded me of some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia or NYC. From the warm welcome to the comfortable seating, excellent service, and an impressive array of menu options, the evening started off wonderfully. We kicked things off with Shrimp Cocktail and Roasted Brussels Sprouts to share. The shrimp were large yet tender, and the Brussels were uniquely prepared and absolutely delicious. Our main courses included 12 oz and 8 oz Filet Mignon, Short Ribs, and Scallops. Each dish was expertly prepared and incredibly tasty. The menu also featured a wide range of gluten-free options, which was particularly important for me as a Celiac patient. This experience was truly exceptional and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to return and explore many more of the tempting menu items!
