Last night, I picked up a variety of takeout food, and I have to say, the crab cakes are the best I've ever had in the Valley. They’ve also introduced Ahi Tuna to the menu, and it’s by far the best I’ve tasted in the area. Since I’m a fan of liver, I decided to try the Veal Liver, which was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. Of course, the steak and calamari we ordered were outstanding too—just like they alway... View all feedback.
What Tina Brower dislikes about Mark's East Side:
We were placed at a table on the patio, which felt small and cramped. We had to deal with flies throughout our meal, which was quite bothersome. There was a low wall separating us from the kitchen's back door, and the constant noise from the doors slamming and the activity in the kitchen was very distracting. Overall, it wasn't an enjoyable experience. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1. View all feedback.

Excellent meal, great service, delicious dessert and perfect drinks (the Brandy Old Fashions are highly recommended)
The food is good and consistently delivered, with impressively large portions. However, our waitress seemed a bit disorganized. They offer a complimentary appetizer of sauerkraut balls, but the staff didn’t inform us about this before we ordered a full serving. When she brought out the appetizer and mentioned it was free, it felt a bit misleading, especially since we had already ordered something we had never tried before. This came across as somewhat unprofessional and put a damper on the start of our dinner.
Went here for dinner with the in-laws, and that food was great. Fantastic gluten free options. Everyone had a good time.

Delicious! My taste buds were having a celebration. I took my girlfriend to this restaurant to celebrate her birthday, and I'm glad I did. Since she follows a gluten-free diet, I was pleased to find out that they have a dedicated fryer specifically for gluten-free customers. The haystack onion rings were incredible! I ordered a shrimp sandwich while she opted for a pecan salad. Both our meals were delightful, cooked to perfection, and we enjoyed them with a glass of wine. The waitress was wonderfully friendly, and even though the restaurant was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food.
Stopped in for lunch, quick service with great food options! Crab cakes and French onion soup were delicious!
For our main courses, we were absolutely impressed by the quality. We ordered the perch dinner, Fisherman’s Platter, French dip, and three Ribeye dinners. I chose the gluten-free perch dinner, and it was excellent. I also sampled the Ribeye, which was simply divine—tender and perfectly seasoned, truly a flawless dish! Our server, Ashley, was outstanding—she was efficient, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. We decided to try this restaurant on a whim, and now we’re eager to go back. Everything was amazing! I would give it ten stars!
Even though we had to wait over an hour, it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant was bustling, and our server Megan was outstanding; our food came out surprisingly quickly. My wife and I shared a seafood platter featuring scallops, perch, haddock, and shrimp, accompanied by French fries. Every dish was delicious, even the coleslaw! I would have loved to have a Brandy Alexander after dinner, but I was just too full. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back. Everything seemed to be running smoothly, and I was truly impressed!
This is an outstanding supper club offering genuine German cuisine! The prime rib is exceptional, and the schnitzel is simply fantastic! The hot bacon dressing is incredible, striking the perfect balance between tangy and sweet. And be sure to save room for dessert! The Schaum Torte was delightful—the meringue was light and crunchy, and the raspberry topping was sweet without being overwhelming. It's the perfect way to conclude a wonderful meal! I highly recommend this place for a lovely evening out, and we will certainly be back!

Perfect place for a fish fry. My first visit with my daughter she has celiac) and grandson. The first fish fry my daughter had in 10 years! The gluten free dinner was delicious and she didn't get sick. My grandson had steak hrs loved it. Thank you Mark's our complements to the chef! The service was cheery and prompt, the atmosphere was comfortably upscale casual, and the schnitzel was authentic! I was disappointed by the salmon special; I expected it to be red in the center and flavorful, but it was dried out, chalky pink, and meh. But the French onion soup was excellent, and rhubarb bread pudding was awesome. And the food on past visits was great--even our kids loved it. We'll be back! We celebrated my birthday. Excellent food, drinks, and service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
They opened the doors earlier than the posted 4 PM time. Two sets of couples were already waiting outside. We had a good cocktail at the bar along with a sausage sampler. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You could tell that they knew some of their customers very well. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This restaurant is one of the rare Supper Clubs that has consistently upheld its quality over the years. The cocktails are superb, and the ambiance is inviting and well-maintained. While the food is enjoyable, it leans towards the traditional and doesn't explore new frontiers—ideal for diners who appreciate familiar flavors. It tends to attract a more mature clientele, including many from Grandma's generation.
This is a classic supper club with a wonderful bar and a varied menu. You definitely need to try the scotch eggs! The waitstaff is attentive and friendly. We really miss Mark, who used to wander around and talk to everyone; he was truly one of a kind.
Rich homestyle german food! I have Celiac and their food didn't bother my system at all! The prices may seem a bit high for the portion of some dishes but they are incredibly filling and delicious! The servers were all lovely and warm. Will come again.
The fish fry haddock and service was excellent. After reviewing the menu online beforehand, we were somewhat disappointed to learn that they don't offer their German menu on Fridays due to the fish fry. Understandable, as they need the fryers for the fish, but we were looking forward to trying the German. That said, the fish fry was great and we'd definitely come back if we're back in the area again to try the schnitzels. The kids menu also offers a larger variety than most kids menus and my kids were excited about the shrimp.

Mark's is such a staple. The staff is extremely friendly, on top of being excellent at their jobs. The drinks are great and reasonably priced. The food is scrumptious and the portions are plentiful. Great atmosphere plus consistently perfect food and top notch staff means that I will always come back.
Absolutely one of the most professional, organized, and well ran Establishments I have experienced in a long time! Cheerfully greeted by the hostess (Rhoda), seated promptly after having a cocktail in the lounge when our group arrived! Attentive and prompt bartender! waitress was pleasant, on task and not overbearing. Both the hostess and the waitress explained the specials in detail, which were delicious and presented beautifully. The whole experience was seamless from the time we arrived until we were finished with after dinner drinks. Definitely would recommend this great restaurant! Great job Mark, Rhoda and staff!
Our server was incredibly friendly, and the food arrived at just the right time. The flavors were fantastic. I ordered the salmon while my fiancé had the tenderloin stroganoff. We will definitely return!
We had reservations for 12 and were seated immediately. Our waitresses were superior and on top of everything. The chicken cordon bleu was the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life! I wish we didn’t live over 5 hours away because we would eat here often!
We had another stellar experience at Mark's last night. Friendly, fast service at the bar, great waitress (Maggie) and of course Mark himself who makes it a point to make sure everyone of his guests are happy.... and the food!! Hubby always gets the Sauerbraten but when he ordered the waitress informed him that the kitchen was out of it. Shortly after being seated Mark came over to the table and asked if hubby had ordered the Sauerbraten again as he knows it's his favorite. After hubby informed him that they were out he said I think a fresh batch is ready about now would you like that instead and of course hubby said yes, but only if it's no trouble. ..... Hubby got the Sauerbraten and he said it was perfectly prepared, I watched him cut it with his fork! Mark worked some magic! My steak and sauteed veggies were fantastic! One of our favorite restaurants in Appleton. We'll be back again and again!

The meal was amazing, probably the best we've had in a long time! The waitress was warm and inviting.
Mark's East Side is truly the best spot for a fish fry in Appleton—and it lives up to the reputation. The lake perch was exceptional, and the fries were delicious. The calamari and haystack onion rings were fantastic. Drinks were expertly mixed. The Saturday prime rib is absolutely outstanding—another unforgettable meal.
I celebrated my birthday dinner here and have nothing but great things to say. Jen and Elizabeth provided exceptional service. From the French onion soup to the perch dinner, every dish was fantastic. This will definitely be our go-to dinner spot from now on.
First time visiting Mark's East Side. The staff were great, very friendly. Our meals were awesome! I'm not sure why we've never been prior to now. We definitely will be returning.
