Reviews - Dong Po
Reviews summary
In recent dining experiences, a local restaurant has drawn mixed reviews that sharply divide patrons. Many expressed dissatisfaction with the service, citing rudeness and unresponsiveness from the staff. Despite a clean environment and a promising menu, the food commonly fell short in flavor, with several dishes deemed unappetizing and overpriced. Even highly anticipated items like sushi left diners disappointed. Conversely, a handful of reviews praised the restaurant for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious offerings, highlighting specific dishes like shrimp tempura as satisfactory. This dichotomy suggests a potential decline in quality, raising concerns about consistency.

By far the worst “chinese food”I ever experienced. Every dish lacked flavor. We spent $120 so there were many dishes. Mixed this place up with another of higher quality and were highly disappointed. I’ve experienced most “Chinese” restaurants inthe valley and this is the worst by far.
My rainbow roll came with darkened/aged avocado in on the roll, and the “cooked shrimp” wasn’t even on the sushi. The servers/waitress are rude, highly misinformed when asked about the menu, and the menu alone is misleading regardingflavor/spice. The food has been bland/lacking quality and isn’t worth the money. Over a year ago this was our favorite place, but we have been habitually shown true colors of this restaurant. The sushi wasn’t the only issue with our order. Please note- After looking at many of the recent “5 star reviews” by “local guides”, many of them appear to be fake/paid offpeople, or bots. Click on a few, it’s amazing how the “local guides” leave other 5 star reviews written similar to theones for this restaurant, but will be for random restaurants across the US and the reviews are all done within the sametimeframe.

Poor customer service, don’t expect meat in your Kung POW beef dish, and if it says spicy expect sugar water.
This was easily the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted. Every dish was bland and lacked flavor. We spent $120, ordering a variety of items, but sadly, all of them were disappointing. I had mistaken this restaurant for another with a better reputation, and it was a huge letdown. Having tried most Chinese restaurants in the valley, this one ranks as the worst by far.

The shrimp tempura was quite good. I recommend getting six pieces. While it wasn't the best we've ever tried, it certainly wasn't the worst either. As for the miso soup and wonton soup, I suggest you ask for just one wonton per bowl.
