Was AMANDA SILVA at Big Pot Grill a mag?
We visited during a quieter period and enjoyed a good dining experience. The food was tasty, and the service that day was satisfactory. We ordered the big pot, which was decent. The shrimp and snow crab were delicious, but the crayfish had a different flavor compared to other places I've tried. The pho was just okay—mediocre, really, as they are primarily known for their seafood. View all feedback.

When we received the bill, I was shocked to see a gratuity of almost $60, bringing our total to nearly $400, which left us really disappointed. The extra charges were hidden in fine print on the menu. Given the amount we spent, it's frustrating to be compelled to pay even more, especially since the food took a long time to arrive. The tip is distributed among the staff, but considering the meal was essentially a communal pot rather than individual service, it felt excessive.

After an hour and a half, our meal finally arrived. While the food was good, the server never offered us any utensils to break open the crab legs, so we had to ask for them. You would expect that to be standard when ordering a King Crab meal, right? Throughout our entire visit, none of the staff checked in on us to see if we needed refills or if everything was alright. To top it off, there was a mix-up with our bill, and they automatically included a gratuity charge because there were four adults and a little four-year-old in our party. They explained that their policy was to add gratuity for parties of five, and since the child had plain rice, we were counted as five. Personally, I didn't feel the service warranted the gratuity they charged. I usually tip between 15% and 40% based on service, but I don't even think this place deserves a 10% tip. I considered giving a one-star rating, but we were seated right away, which was probably the best part of my experience. In conclusion, if you're looking for seafood and don’t want to spend a fortune, go to Red Lobster. But if you want to sit and wait for an hour before eating, this is the place for you.

It is an Asian/Seafood restaurant. They have pho, kapoon, fried rice, French fries, and the seafood selection. The Asain food was okay. The seafood was great. Our waitress had good energy and was cheerful. I don't really agree with the auto 18% tip charge. If they want good tip, they must work for it. I didn't mind the 18% tip charge since our waitress was good and our food came out in a timely manner. But being force to auto tip doesn't sit right to me.
