Nice relaxed dinner to finish our 43rd Anniversary great food served by friendly attentive staff, good value for money, thank you.

Staff very nice food good what more could you ask for.

Well I have a lot to say about this restaurant. Firstly we were a a party of 6 on our last evening of a great week. We chose this place as we had visited it 2 years ago and had our best meal there so thought it would be a fitting end. To start with staff friendly and helpful. Until the meals arrived. 4 of us ordered steak and although the sauces were excellent all steaks were incorrectly cooked. One was sent back and then was left to eat her meal on her own as was a long time to replace. (The steak was ordered rare so should not of taken so long. one orderd a seafood platter. That arrived and was all undercooked all the batter was soggy. One ordered pasta and loved his meal. All issues were politely raised throughout the meal. We were just told sorry The bill arrived and was just short of €150. I discreetly took the bill to the bar and politely informed the lady that we were unhappy with the meal and the bill. She shouted to me that she didn 't speak English. The only English speaking person (the waiter told her we were unhappy. She then got on the phone and was shouting to someone about us. Then another member of party came to my assistance as all the kitchen staff came out and surrounded me. The chef was pointing in my face shouting you eat ..you pay!!!. I explained that half the meals were left and that 5 out of 6 meals were wrong. And that we were not refusing to pay. He continued in the above manner for several minutes. Then the lady who didn 't speak English was back on the phone. The only word we understood was policia !! They were threatening us with the police. I said well hopefully the police can sort this out. Next minute the police arrive with their sirens going. Anyway we explained to the police who said he didn 't understand. He put us on the phone to an interpreter, who just said pay the bill. We had no choice but to pay in full. Now you may think we were just out to get a free meal. We most definitely not. we had just cause to complain about the food, but the actions of these people were way over the top with complete disregard to customer satisfaction I have to say this is the first review I have ever had to write of this nature. I understand the power of a good bad review. Go to this place if you accept shoddy treatment but be prepared to accept that or you may just find yourself in police cell.
