Great food and the owner is friendly and welcoming. She waved when we returned and lets us by takeaway salted caramel cheesecake best on the island! . She even tried to find me a milkshake from neighbouring bars due to my digestion issues, which was very kind. Very small and the neighbouring bars can be a little noisy but great food and service.
Recently moved to street level, this restaurant is excellent in every way. The food was cooked to perfection with a great choice on the menu. The steak was beautiful but the star of the show had to be the home made cheesecake... Heaven. Service: Dine in
A perfect night out. Food was Delicious . Staff were delightful and couldn't do enough for us. I wish we had been earlier so we could have tried every item on the menu xxx Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Beautiful food and lovely restaurant. Staff very friendly. They have moved their premises up to street level opposite fadoso much nicer. Would definitely recommend. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Service seemed a little lacking in the way of friendliness and this I felt came across throughout the restaurant with little ambiance. Prawn starter with warm bread prawns were reasonable but after the waitress knocked water over me she ran off embarrassed as we joked about it. Can’t say the same for the bread served with the prawns. Bad enough the chef overheating it almost beyond recognition but shameful that it still made it out of the kitchen. Steak was the only good thing about the meal cooked as asked for but again jokingly reminding the staff about the bread. Can’t say the same about the rest of the main course. Vegetables basic chopped steamed/boiled cabbage and a smattering of carrot and few tasteless potatoes. Redcurrant Jus: not a hit of redcurrant, flavour or colour. The sauce was the worst offender of the main course and resembled a very cheap powered, salty and over thickened brown mess. Desert: ok, nice even although I suspect it was out of a box so the chef not required for this culinary delight. Overall new chef required and staff need to be a little more relaxed and friendly. I say this with over 25 years in hospitality and a 20 year career as an army chef.
