Description

Nestled in a small town, this restaurant offers a mix of experiences that can be hit or miss. While the fried catfish has garnered praise, other menu items, such as the mac and cheese and BLT, have disappointed with inconsistent preparation and bland flavors. Some diners rave about the attentive service and pleasant atmosphere during brunch, while others lament poor takeout experiences and microwaved dishes at high prices. Despite the fluctuations in food quality, many guests appreciate the friendly staff and decent portions, making it a place worth trying for those seeking comfort food in a casual setting.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host and requested the buffet. After being seated at a booth, however, we felt completely overlooked. We helped ourselves to the buffet as usual, but we didn't receive any drinks or service. I noticed the teenage wait staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves and scrolling on their phones than attending to the guests. I hardly saw any staff on our side of the restaurant, except for one young man who was filling his plate behind the buffet (which I didn't mind, as employees need to eat too). Many tables were left dirty and piled with dishes. I understand if the restaurant is busy, but it was quite empty during our visit - just us and two other couples. I attempted to get a waitress's attention several times, but my calls of "excuse me, ma'am" went ignored. After waiting for what felt like an eternity for someone to take our drink order, I decided to walk over to the bar area. There, I found all the wait staff gathered, just chatting away. I approached a young woman with glasses and tattoos and asked for our drinks. Finally, she brought them out, but as we tried to enjoy our meal, we were left staring at our empty cups. It wasn't until we both finished eating that we were even offered a refill. By that point, we were so dissatisfied that we simply requested our check. When the waitress returned with it, she offered us to-go drinks, which we accepted. Unfortunately, my wife's drink arrived leaking from a large hole at the bottom, soaking her with lemonade. It was baffling that such a noticeable leak went unaddressed. My own drink was barely a quarter full—this made no sense, especially since I'd just requested a refill. Frustrated with the poor service, I went up to the bar to express my concerns to the bartender, who seemed indifferent to our issues. I placed my to-go cup on the bar and asked her whether this was the norm for to-go drinks. When she finally took notice of my nearly empty cup, she merely said, "Oh, I'm sorry." There was no offer to replace the drinks. My wife pointed out that she was covered in lemonade, and all the bartender said was, "Well, sorry." For just the two of us, we ended up spending over $40 on a buffet that left us mostly disappointed. We later spoke with a manager named Lee to request a full refund. I cannot recommend this establishment based on our experience. It pains me to say this, as I am a local in Anna and have previously enjoyed many meals here, especially the fried catfish, which has never disappointed me. Unfortunately, this experience with the service overshadowed everything, and I will not be returning.

We enjoyed our first visit to C.C.C. in Anna, TX. The atmosphere was delightful, featuring a charming small-town country vibe. Inside, there’s a bar with TVs for watching sports. I tried the Mama's Meatloaf, and it was absolutely incredible—I can't wait to return! A special thanks to our server, Kahlyn, for her outstanding service and attentiveness to our needs. Make sure to order a tall, frosty mug of root beer while you're there! Looking forward to our next visit!

My parents are from out of state and anytime they visit we have to go to Crow's. Great food and big portions for the price you pay. Recommend this restaurant hands down good southern cooking.

The restaurant's hours are misleading. I drove 15 minutes to get there, only to find they were closed before their stated operating hours.

Chicken fried steak was so bad I literally had to spit it out! Gravy mediocre at best. Squash casserole wasn't even completely cooked! Fried green tomatoes looked like they took one slice cut in little pieces and called it a side. My wife's shrimp the batter wasn't completely cooked. You could not even drink the water. They need a filter. The catfish was really good. The tartar sauce was excellent. The stuffed peppers were good but you could hardly tell the difference between the chicken and the brisket. I highly recommend the raspberry vinaigrette. The wait staff was terrific. All in all l was sadly disappointed. I will try them again though but not the things that I pointed out, obviously.
