Was Anonym at Joy a mag?
The food preparation at Sarah and Maddie's in Brisbane is mesmerizing, with excellent drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. It is definitely one of the best restaurants in the city. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Joy:
was so impressed by the night eating absolutely smashed we had so much fun-appreciate sarahs creativity and the whole menu to cure the first bit I had was like “the taste really exploded in my mouth and that was not even exaggerated” everything was so amazing!didn’t enjoy the chawanmushi so much for the cripple of the quinoa over. dessert was pretty sweet with even sweeter pairing drinks it was somehow a mismatch and... We recently celebrated our second birthday dinner at the end of 2019 at Joy, a restaurant that was recently awarded two chef's hats by the Good Food Guide 2020. I had been eager to try the food here and our birthday was the perfect occasion. After staying up until midnight three months in advance to secure the last three seats for the night, it was certainly an exclusive experience.
Definitely worth the 3-month wait to get a reservation. Only 10 diners seated in a line facing the kitchen. This has been the best dining experience I've had all year. I highly recommend Joy.
I am not sure how this restaurant has a 3.6/5 rating considering all the reviews are 5 stars. In any case, this restaurant is one of the best in Brisbane, if not the best in Brisbane. I have been to Aria, Cha Cha Chars, Sirromet, and other high-end restaurants with a reputation for being the best in Brisbane, but none of them compare to this one. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the approach of only seating 10 people and allowing them to interact with chefs Tim and Sarah as they prepare delicious meals is unique and outstanding. I hope more restaurants will follow suit.
Joy is in the name and in the food. One of Brisbanes best experiences when it comes to dinning out. Great for a date night or a long over due catch up. Thankyou joy team for a great experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
