Great variety of Spanish tapas with delicately placed spices. They have some authentic Spanish drinks as well! The price is the only complaint as some of the dishes seem rather expensive for the ingredients being used. I would still visit again! But maybe reserve for that special occasion. Great staff! The drawbacks: I did find a small piece of shell in my crab dish. While I understand that these things can happen, I expect better for the price. In our group, we ordered three paellas—two were fantastic, while the third was disappointing and left mostly untouched. Unfortunately, this was overlooked, and there was no offer to replace or remove the $70 dish from our bill. The negatives: The prices are quite steep. I've dined at Spanish tapas restaurants all over, and while I wouldn't call them budget-friendly, our bill for two came to $340 after tax and tip, which was similar for the other couples in our party. This was without any bottles of wine. At half that cost, I might have felt differently, but as it stands, I'm hesitant to return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our overall dining experience at Aventura on Saturday afternoon! We sampled a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious! The presentation was lovely, and our waitress was great as well. We sat by the window, which offered a nice view.
The ambience at this restaurant is generally quite pleasant, although there are some evenings when it can get a bit too crowded and noisy for comfortable conversation at the table. The food is good, but don’t expect large portions. I've had better meals elsewhere for similar prices and serving sizes. Nevertheless, we often choose to return to this restaurant before attending operas and plays at the University of Minnesota. The wine selection is impressive, and the knowledgeable wine director provided excellent recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal.
This was an experience! Tappas style (definitely a favorite for groups)... from simple to complicated and layered. Aventura's flavors are amazing. Higher end prices but worth the cost, these dishes were prepared at their ceiling! Everything was wonderful starting with the attentive and knowledgeable staff and ending with desert (Churros) and coffee... Highly reccommend, a gem in downtown Ann Arbor!
Food is absolutely delicious! Service is good. This is a great place for date night, lunch etc. Definitely an asset to Ann arbor!
