Prickly Pear - Ann Arbor

A table of 6 next to us sat too loud and very raw. what a relief when they're gone.

We had a reservation, but had to wait 25 minutes to take a spot, which is very unprofessional. this was particularly frustrating because there is no waiting place so that the restaurant was very crowded. when we sat, our waiter didn't introduce us. he never came back to ask if we wanted to refill on drinks during our meal for hours. eating was quite good, but the service and the loud, crowded ambiente let us with a total disappointment about our experience. would only come back to an unusable time, and even then it was not over the tip enough to let me come back.

I went to school in ann arbor and a more frequent visitor, I can't believe I've never eaten in prickly pear. eating was great, reasonable prices, generous. I love the cozy stalls. chips and fresh salsa were incredible and it was worth coming here alone. really enjoyed our meal, the fish tacos, black bean and chorizo chili and chicken stuffed poblano paprika. will definitely eat here again and recommend others.

Restaurant Week! One of my favorite, go-to places for all occasions. Cozy booth, perfect noise level for conversation, FRESHLY prepared food, EXCELLENT service every time I’ve been here. Girlfriend I wanted to linger awhile chat waiter was accommodating!
