We had great food and service for a birthday dinner at Mediterrano. We shared a few small plates, the tricolore salad, and a paella with chicken and chorizo. All the food was outstanding.
Always like this place. Everyone’s food was fantastic except for my branzino. Dry and poor presentation. Didn’t appreciate the sudden lighting change as the approached closing, either.
The Greek orange cake was dry and heavy, other then that everything was great!
The new chef is fantastic. Several dishes are superb--the lasagna and the gnocchi.
The service was poor and follow up orders slow items arrived out of sequence and had to ask another waitress to assist with service twice. The rack of lamb ribs were terrible and badly seasoned tasteless. Not properly prepared could not separate out the rib cuts , connected with tough cartage. I ordered medium rare but got raw. Overall the prices are absurd. $45 for a basic plate lamb rack with arugula sprinkled on some Tzatziki . The place was half full , whereas in the past it was very busy . Not sure what's going on there, but everything was below par compared to past visits. It used to be a favourite but not anymore likely will not be returning.
