What User doesn't like about Pilar's Tamales:
Vegan tamales are not always available. Call Ahead to make sure they have them. There is one with tempeh, not so good but she prepares another one with some unique green leafs. Try to get that one, is my favorite. View all feedback.

The food was so good and I'm getting more and more frequent here when I'm hungry!

That is a beautiful little restaurant. the decor is really beautiful, and the food is filling and delicious.
Pilar’s never disappoints. There are always vegan options on the menu (the tempeh tamale and curtido are my faves , and they usually have seasonal options, depending on what the farmers market has (just call and ask! . The owner is exceptionally friendly and knows what’s vegan (and what vegan means...she’s never suggested I try the cheese tamale! . : The horchata is vegan, as they use rice milk (I always confirm on this, just in case . Vegan dessert tamales are to be had as well. Seriously, give this little hidden gem a go!
