Contribute FeedbackLogan restaurant received mixed reviews, with some criticizing the grubby and offensive waiter, while others praised the exceptional food and service. The menu was highlighted for being fantastic, with innovative dishes like pesto mashed potatoes and cherry gastrique pork belly. Complaints included the small portions, oversalted food, and a lack of vegetables. Despite some negative experiences, many patrons were impressed and expressed a desire to return. Logan seems to evoke a range of opinions, from pretentious and overpriced to a great date night spot. Overall, food quality and service were deemed top-notch by most, making it a recommended dining option in Ann Arbor.
I always find the food at this restaurant to be extremely fascinating, refreshing, and creative. I was pleasantly surprised by the Pesto potatoes - they were the perfect accompaniment to the delicious freshly caught salmon. The Pork belly special appetizer was outstanding, especially with the cherry gastrique that added the perfect mix of sweetness and tartness. While the service was a bit less attentive than usual, I still had a wonderful dining experience overall.
We have always enjoyed dining at Logan in the past. However, tonight we experienced exceptional food and service during a night when the waiter had to deal with some difficult customers. The menu was fantastic, our waiter was excellent, and the kitchen truly impressed us. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant!
The small details make a big difference at this restaurant. One of the changes they've made is offering more smaller plates. I tried the petite short rib and the portion size was impressive - I can only imagine how big the regular size must be (probably enough to feed two people!). I was also pleased to see that they offer bone marrow on their menu - not everyone might enjoy it, but for those of us who do, it's a rare find in Ann Arbor. And if you're ordering something saucy like the short ribs, make sure to get the potato pave as well. It's great for soaking up the sauce and you won't have to resort to licking the plate clean!
While the ambiance and service was v good, we were disappointed with our half orders of Perch Tempura which were $15 each. It consisted of three very small pieces of fish, coated with a lot of batter together with a coleslaw that was quite salty. The ravioli dish was great as usual.
Delicious meal. Great service. Loved having options for smaller portions. Tables quite close as most restaurants are these days. Otherwise found it quite good and will definitely go back.
