There is a sign at the drive-thru indicating that they are temporarily closed and will reopen soon. It seems they are struggling to find enough staff to operate during meal shifts. We will have to wait and see if they reopen. UPDATE EDIT 11/15/21: The restaurant's hours are still not accurate. They are open between 6 am and 2 pm, but outside of those hours, it is best to call ahead or be prepared for closure. They are experiencing staff shortages for dinner hours throughout the week. Despite this, the food has been fresh and tasty during my three visits in the last two months. The service may be a bit slow, but waiting for a freshly cooked burger and hot fries is worth it.

This location has always struggled to... read more The restaurant is currently closed and it seems like it may be closed for good. When it was open, the food was just okay. This location has always struggled to get things right since it first opened. Their old location on the north side of Ankeny only lasted a few years before becoming a car wash. It's a shame to see such a waste of resources. This just shows how disorganized this restaurant chain is. It's probably time for them to demolish the site and build something new. Maybe Ankeny should consider getting a Popeye's Chicken or a Steak 'n Shake instead. I prefer Carl's Jr over Hardee's. If you have the chance, try Carl's Jr and you'll see why. For now, you can head east and try Ben's Burgers instead. It's a great local spot that is open for business. Check them out!

Now your hours are so unstable we can never find you open. I know Covid has hit everyone hard, but now that everything is getting back to normal we really hope to see the same for your store. I hope you store doesn't end up closing. Ankeny really needs a Hardee's
