good and clean showers and wc not the luxurious level, but when they live on planet earth. Eat is delicious and freshly made before place. the people are friendly and ready to go extra mile for them. the morning I went before they opened and they prepared the breakfast for me to warm up the morning. good place to stop at night. Stracathro is a service area beside the road between Aberdeen and the central belt. There are few places trucks can stop, and I’ve stopped there in the past for a coffee, food and use of facilities. We stopped today as we thought it would be open as there were a few trucks parked up. Eat is delicious and freshly made before place. the people are friendly and ready to go extra mile for them. the morning I went before they opened and they prepared the breakfast for me to warm up the morning. good place to stop at night.
Stopped off here as our first choice peggy scotts was jammed with cones and could not work out how to navigate. everything is outdated and run down. from the choices I picked soup and a cheese and onion toastie with a cake. It was passable beggars can't be choosers. would not rush back and would not recommend. was up and out as soon as finished eating.
This place should be knocked down toilets stink shower there's 1 not great food terrible its never changed in over 30yrs

In fact though it was middle of the afternoon on a weekday the cafe was shut, the parking area was like the surface of the moon, and there was only 1 toilet available in the nearby service station. This is really not good enough for a major service area on a major Scottish route. Are the Scot gov completely relying on private services to provide and when they go out of business or close that’s it folks?
