What User doesn't like about Finavon:
I just wanted to eat. The restaurant only had tables in the bar area. The prices for the food were high considering the quality was not very good. I complained, but the chef just seemed indifferent. The girl working behind the bar was the only pleasant aspect of my experience. View all feedback.
During a trip to Scotland, we stayed in our motorhome in the car park of this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. We were greeted warmly by the owner, Robbie, who made us feel very welcome along with our dog Bruno the Cavapom. The bar had a decent selection of drinks and we were not rushed to our table. The menu wasn't extensive, but this was actually a positive sign for us. We skipped starters and ordered scampi and a medium rare sirloin steak for our mains, both of which were excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly and we were impressed with the quality of the meal. The service was outstanding and our dog was also made to feel welcome, which we appreciated. The value for money was amazing and we had a great evening with delicious food. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you to Robbie and his team for a wonderful experience.
We chose to host our football presentation at The Finavon. Robbie and his team were excellent and incredibly accommodating. The large Marquee at the back is perfect for hosting parties of all kinds. The food was delicious and a special thanks to the Chef. There is a spacious play area at the back with breathtaking views. This was our third year holding our event here and we will definitely be returning. We also use this venue for other events throughout the year and the team always goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly.
So mcdonalds passed through mistakes and I am glad that I did it. great eating, drinking and atmosphere at this beautiful place. King scallops with black pudding is in my opinion one must. that beats mcdonalds every day.
Where is the brunch as advertised on your website, visited sunday morning to be told that there was not one, very disappointing, will not be back
Went for Father’s Day dinner it’s now under new ownership and he is a pleasant host. However it would be nice if the chef was to be a little less heavy handed on the salt and pepper. Had to return the chicken with pepper sauce...as it was in edible got replacement with gravy instead. Food lovely on the whole. Service not as consistent as it used to be Would go back though
