Salters restaurant is a lovely, warm and rustic dining area. The food is nice, generously portioned, foody enough without being pretentious and best of all no more expensive than an above average pub meal. But we weren't in a hurry!We were there recently to have a 5 course long lunch with interstate visitors.The first 3 courses came out too quick! we hadn't finished the second course when they brought out the third, which was over cooked salmon that had obviously been kept warm waiting to serve. Had heard good things about Salters Kitchen and it certainly lived up to the recommendations! Took my mum out for lunch on a weekday and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The food was simply stunning, the staff attentive and friendly. The wine is delicious and we made good use of the 30% discount for 'Diners' at the Cellar Door. I will certainly be eating here again.
Can to Salters for Lunch after getting no service at another REstaurant close by. We arrived on the late side but nothing was too much trouble. we had a pizza and the Lamb cutlets. all delicious and the service was efficient.
The good ladies at Penfolds told us to come here for lunch. what a great suggestion. My steak was cooked to perfection and the pizzas were great too. Friendly staff that can make a decent coffee.
