If you're in ANGASTON on a Friday night, Casa Carboni is a great place to eat. Excellent home made pasta, tasty asparagus custard (must find out how to make that one) follows by richly delectable tiramisu. Friendly service - so glad we went! View all feedback.
What Jane Ramadas doesn't like about Casa Carboni:
The food was of reasonable quality but the pasta portions very small. We asked for three portions and two bowls arrived. We reminded them that we had ordered 3 portions but were told that that were three in the two bowls. We decided to order another bowl of pasta to be told that the fresh pasta had run out and we had to wait 20 minutes for some packet pasta to be prepared. The pasta was the only main dish on the menu... View all feedback.
Loved this place! We did the 3 Courses Lunch on Sunday, and they were all amazing. Intense but simple flavors. And Fiona's and Matteo's service was excellent! The French and Italian selection of wine was very interesting and the place was very family-warm... it really made you feel at home (como en casa). Totally recommend it and would go back every month if I could! Thank you very much!
My husband I had the most amazing lunch cooked by the talented Matteo hosted by his lovely wife Fiona. Every dish had an element of surprise. By far the best lunch experience we have ever enjoyed! Highly recommended! Jo Joe
Had a wonderful day learning from Matteo about food from his home area. Will happily take this knowledge with me and look forward to attending another class in the future. Highly recommend this class to anyone interested in good Italian food. Thank you to both Fiona and Matteo
We had a delightful cooking class followed by eating the pasta etc we'd all made and a glass of wine to top it off. What a memorable birthday celebration
We had the best day learning to make potato gnocchi, piadina and tagliatelle. Super easy and fun, and an incredibly nourishing feast at the end. Thanks so much.
