Trattoria Del Piano - ANCONA

The Trattoria del Piano has existed for at least half a century. It is one of the historical places of the Marche. It offers classic dishes of the local cuisine, and proposes traditional first, second and various side dishes that are not so common today . Stocaffisso all'anconetana, spaghetti with sardines, cod with potatoes, fried fish, calamari and shrimp, but also roast and grilled meats and tripe, and good quality local wine. Home made desserts are also good. The only drawback for some people might be that the restaurant is very small, but it is clean and has a convivial atmosphere, thanks to the friendliness of the staff and the patrons. You can also eat outside but you might have to share the long benches and wooden tables with people you don't know, which can be nice, but some people sit outside in order to smoke, which is not pleasant for everyone. This is a great place. We have been going there for years and it is always, unfailingly, good. It's the REAL THING. Open only for lunch, unfortunately!
