What Thaddeus DeWyse likes about Yak & Yeti Himalayan Restaurant:
Consistantly delicious!. I love this place because the food is consistently excellent! The service is great too but can take a while during the busy periods but that is to be expected. It is rare to find a place in Anchorage with consistently great food at a great price with friendly service! Yak and Yeti is the trifecta of awesomeness in midtown!! Keep up the good work! First time I ate this kind of food, so I really do not know how to compare it. However I must say my taste buds were not disappointed.

read moreYak and Yeti in Anchorage offers consistently delicious Tibetan food, with a branch on Northern Lights that offers a smaller menu but still tasty options. Their rice bowls are a hit for lunch, with combinations of meat and vegetarian dishes that complement each other well. The restaurant has friendly staff, great prices, and a clean environment. While some reviewers had mixed experiences with certain dishes, overall, Yak and Yeti is celebrated as a rare gem for excellent Indian food in Anchorage. The lamb curry and naan are highly recommended, making it a go-to spot for those craving flavorful and fresh ethnic meals.

It's been over 2 years since I'd eaten here, and wanted to give it another shot (last time it was bland).
On a recent visit, I tried a vegetarian menu Item: the Dehra Dun Channa Masala (Indian) which is Garbanzo beans stewed in a spicy curry.
Great service and awesome food We were 6 of us with a lot of luggageThey made sure that we get a bigger table at the back.
