I came across this place at the State Fair, so I had no free domination to comb through their whole menu. Your claim to Alaska size taste is very accurate. All the macrons I tried had very strong, different flavors, as advertised, and they were very soft and delicate. Birthday cake should be a fan lover, and was also one of my favorites. What User doesn't like about Sweet Caribou:
The salads are good but would be even better with more vegetarian or vegan options to choose from. Also, I would like to see more environmentally friendly ways of serving meals when customers don't use take out. When dining in even the salads areserved in plastic bowls and plastic water bottles were handed out (versus reusable bowls and glasses). View all feedback.
Delicious! I got the kenai kale delivered. It was fresh, flavorful, and a great value for the high quality.
Shop Local Sweet Caribou is an Alaskan family patisserie. They make everything from scratch to create artisan desserts and locavore lunch bowls. We love eating at Sweet Caribou!
2021- update I love the store front expansion that they’ve done this year. Today I drove Just to come here and grab some Macarons. I love the cookies and cream, Fred Flintstone, red velvet, marshmallow chocolate, almond joy, birthday cake, root beer float, peanut butter and jelly, bananas Foster, rose lychee, Blood orange, maple bacon, Earl Grey, strawberry lemonade, chocolate mint. They do have seasonal/holiday flavors, i wont them all but My favorites are: Pumpkin cheesecake, strawberry rhubarb, Neapolitan, ginger bread eggnog, peppermint bark, chocolate covered strawberry. I really enjoy when I get to see the owner inside the shop he’s often doing deliveries but during lunch rush you can sometimes see him in there. He’s such a nice guy I really like him and his staff are always very friendly fast and knowledgeable. Which is why I will always come back. Often my family will give me for Mother’s Day or my birthday a gift card to go to Sweet Caribou or they pick up my favorite because they know what I like to come so many times. OK novel over 2019- The best. Amazing. Great price. Desserts for everyone i love the blondie cupcake. But my Fav is macaroons i have gotten them from all of their past pop up stands such as: Sears mall, Saturday market, the state fair and now their own store front. They have come alo g way. They do custom orders and the owner is such a friendly guy. Worth the hour drive from valley just to go their.
I can’t leave a picture because I ate all 6 of my macarons on my flight home to Florida. James was SO nice! His macarons and hospitality were the perfect ending to a fun Alaskan vacation. Do yourself a favor and visit Sweet Caribou.
Ordered macron tower for a work meeting. They were amazing. Everyone loved the fact that it was something different than your normal cupcakes and sheet cakes. The flavors were amazing and the delivery was prompt. We will definitely be ordering from them more often for office events. Sweet Caribou is amazing- The MACRONS taste like the came from France- the lunches are fresh excellent and healthy using lots of local ingredients- This is my favorite place to go to in Anchorage
