If there weren't any other dining options available on the south side, we might think about coming back. However, we visited during their second week of operation, which could have impacted our overall experience.

On my first trip, I ordered the eggplant, which was perfectly thinly sliced, lightly breaded, and generously smothered in a delicious red sauce. During my second visit, I tried the linguini with white clam sauce, and it was the best I've had in a long time. The dish was made with fresh clams and had a delightful blend of olive oil, garlic, and parsley — absolutely mouthwatering! Mrs. Parillo's homemade bread was another highlight, along with her delightful Italian dressing on the fresh salads we had. The bar service was top-notch, thanks to Megan. The restaurant is small, and while the bar seating can be a bit uncomfortable due to the lack of a footrest, this is a minor issue compared to the fantastic food. I often travel to Amsterdam and am certain that L'ultimo will be our go-to restaurant from now on. Wishing the Parillo family all the best with their new location on the south side!

The food was served hot, full of flavor, and had generous portions. For dessert, we enjoyed some delightful homemade treats. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would highly recommend L'Ultimo to anyone. We definitely plan to come back!

The lasagna was tasty, with flavorful sausage, but it could have used a bit more ricotta or cheese to complement the strong flavors of the sausage. The eggplant parmesan was also quite enjoyable. I was a bit let down that vodka sauce wasn't available on the menu. The prices were fair, and the service was remarkably friendly—just what you want when eating out. While the restaurant is small, it’s definitely worth a visit overall.

The fresh salad came with tasty dressings, and the main courses were substantial, with the gnocchi and eggplant standing out. We also indulged in a fantastic dessert, the chocolate mousse cake. The prices were fair, the portions were generous, and the food was outstanding. The staff was very friendly as well. I sincerely hope we can return to this place soon!
