A small improvement compared to the major stop down the road. It's essentially a similar type of restaurant with a comparable menu.
As a US citizen, I may not be an expert on poutine, but I found the popcorn chicken poutine with curds to be incredibly satisfying. My partner had the fried fish along with a Greek salad, and we both left with empty plates.
I visited this restaurant specifically for the lobster roll, but I was let down by its size. The roll was roughly the size of a hot dog bun and didn’t have many pieces of lobster in it. Instead, over 80% of my plate was filled with French fries, which, while tasty, didn’t satisfy my craving for a bigger lobster roll. For dessert, I chose the strawberry rhubarb pie with a side of vanilla ice cream, and I was very impressed with both the quantity and flavor of the pie and ice cream. It was absolutely delicious.
Very busy family diner just off the trans Canada highway. The service is friendly, it's clean with a low key atmosphere. Regular casual breakfast, lunch and dinner fare. We had the chowder, lobster roll and club sandwich. All were good and left us too full to finish or have dessert. For a Sunday lunch travelling through the area it definitely left us satisfied.
