Duncan's Pub
Description
Despite some disappointing dishes like burnt sandwiches, watery chowder, and undercooked steak, the service, atmosphere, and beer selection at this Amherst restaurant are impressive. Reviews are mixed, with some diners vowing never to return, while others praise the excellent food and friendly servers. The deep-fried pickles are particularly recommended. Overall, the experience at this Irish pub seems to vary greatly depending on what you order. Many reviewers plan to return to try different items on the menu. Cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and a variety of delicious options make this a worthwhile stop for a casual meal in Amherst.

On a ride through Amherst we stopped in for lunch. The gorgeous Bree served us and was excellent. The burger special was incredible. True homemade taste, grilled to perfection and lots of side options to please all. Will definitely return.
Great meal and I like the decor. it was nice that they made a grilled cheese sandwich for my autistic nephew
My first time here last week and I loved it. Special mention to whoever decorated the place for Christmas. It looks really wonderful and creates a special atmosphere. Our food was delicious and portions were perfect if not too much for one. Staff was pleasant, attentive and quick even though the place was at full capacity. Can't wait to try many other things on the menu.
The pub was nice and the food was delicious. There is ample parking available next door. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Everything from locals to tourists and students. Short staffed as all businesses seem to be nowadays but still smiling. Great food, genuine atmosphere and paraphernalia was genuine vs the plasticly pre packaged wall decor that you would find in a chain pub. Great food and prices, excellent service. Lots of locals which tells you it is a good pub. We will be back.
