I know it's not the most glamourous job cleaning up after someone eating BBQ but the staff seems to make a better than usual effort to make surehost seating is really freaking clean and ready to go for the next person. Maybe I'm old maybe you do this every day. Butproviding a clean table for everyone was once a lost art. But Jethro's excels at it now. I appreciate the cleanliness of yourrestaurant as much as the awesome food. Good on ya.

Jethro's has been on a number of food TV shows and famous competitive eaters have made their way out to Ames for various food challenges. The facility itself is HUGE. They have a large game room, private dining rooms, bar and regulardining space. It was pretty busy during our last visit so we took a seat at the bar. Plenty of big screen TVs to keep youentertained. They got a little bit of everything on the menu so you can't go wrong. We tried the wings and then we got the CajunSandwich and the Fried Pork sandwich, they were both very good and packed with flavor. All of their sides are homemade! Servicewas also great which made our stay even better. It will likely be a regular spot I visit the next time I'm in Ames.

The dining area was spacious the staff were all really nice. The only reason I give it 4 of 5 stars is because while I thought theBBQ meat was good it was lacking in flavorful sauce, honestly what is BBQ without the sauce. Oh... and in my humble opinion thefried pickles needed seasoning. ????

It was so weak it just tasted like gross water and it definitely wasn't sweet either. Overall just gross! If you're doing classic BBQ you haveto have good sweet tea. Please read this and learn how to make good tea.
