the facility was nice. it has a built-in playroom with pool and a few arcades that can be paid via their phone. the it was roomy, the staff were all really nice. the only reason why I'm him 4 out of 5 stars because, while I thought that the bbq meat was good, it was lacking in tasteful sose, honest, what is bbq without the sose. oh, and in my modest opinion the fried pickles needed to season. ? What User doesn't like about Jethro's Bbq Ames:
Food was okay but my boyfriend and I were seated and had to go to the bar to order drinks then ask a busser to send our waitress over. We went 15 minutes without anyone coming to take our orders and when she did arrive she said she didn't see us. Need to teach staff to keep eyes up. We initiated concern with multiple staff members who walked right past us or watched us get up from our table and go order at the bar. View all feedback.
This is a fantastic restaurant for a family meal. The staff is extremely friendly, and I had no issues with the food at all. I highly recommend Jethro's BBQ to anyone seeking a welcoming atmosphere for dining. I will definitely be returning!
We visited Jethro's in Ames for the first time, and it definitely exceeded our expectations! Everything was fantastic—from the attentive service to the delicious food (the tenderloin was incredibly good and impressively large!). The restaurant was clean and had a wonderful atmosphere. Our family and friends gathered to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to be. Thank you, Jethro's! We will definitely be coming back often!
The food is excellent and the staff is wonderful. We typically sit at the bar, where the bartenders are fantastic and the service is outstanding. Plus, you can catch any game you want while you’re there!
