Glad House of Chen is still around, we're going to order more often! Food was affordable, plentiful, all of us had leftovers and the bonus is that none of us ever get msg headaches from this place. Egg rolls, crab rangoon, meals all fresh, hot and not overdone. Carryout was ready on time. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about House Of Chen:
eating here is great, but whenever I try to answer no one. the one time it sounded like someone answered no one spoke and then they just hang up. either update the phone number on google or get a better phone service. View all feedback.
Great eating, but the lunchtime of 11-1:30 is terrible and they always close before 1:30. I was there at 1:15 and the door was locked and they sent me away.

Delicious Chinese cuisine in Ames, it doesn't look like much outside, but the food is great. Orange chickens and fried chickens are unobtrusively good.

HOC is some of the best Chinese food in Ames. It loses a star just because it has lost a step with the ownership change in terms of quality and service, but it is still great. Do yourself a favor? Order the Chef?s Special chicken (or pork, or whatever protein). Savory, a little bit spicy (or ask for extra spice). Fantastic.
