Nestled in a cozy corner, this restaurant invites diners to experience a blend of unique flavors and a lively atmosphere. While some patrons rave about the delicious Brazilian burgers and flavorful garlic spaghetti, others have encountered service issues, including slow kitchen times and occasional spills. The limited menu raises concerns, but highlights like the Cubano sandwich and yucca fries give a glimpse of potential satisfaction. Despite mixed feelings about the service quality, the bistro's cultural charm and extensive drink selection create a promising space for casual gatherings, though some may think twice about a return visit after less-than-pleasant experiences.

UPDATE! 2nd visit I was able to make a stop and tried the gyro and a Nerd Long Island! The drink was fruity and fabulous . The gyro was good, but the Cuban was better. Best kept secret. I've lived near Ames most of my life and have never tried Cafe Beaudelaire. Based on a recommendation from a coworker, I decided to try it for lunch. I had the Cuban sandwich and wasn't disappointed! I look forward to returning and trying something different (and a long Island when I don't have to return to work).

I love their burgers and the atmosphere. The fries are awesome too. I've been there 3 times and I think I had a new server this weekend.

Got the yucca fries, beef Beirut sandwich and Brazilian burger as a Sunday lunch takeout. We were on a road trip from Albuquerque to St. Paul with 2 dogs and this was what worked for us but we would love to stay for dine-in next time, so wecould get cocktails and enjoy the ambience! The food was delicious and exactly what we needed. So grateful for the takeoutoption!

Busy restaurant. Food was okay but nothing special. They do have vegetarian options. Small outside seating area. Server was very nice.
